Cardinals fire head coach Kingsbury following 4–13 season ;GM Steve Keim stepping down

the Arizona Cardinals have fired kliff Kingsbury and the general manager Steve Keim will be stepping down from his duties to focus on his health . kingsbury served as the Cardinals’ head coach for four years ,going 28–37–1 and reaching the postseason last season.

‘ ‘we have announced that the head coach Kliff Kingbusry has been relieved of his duties,’’ the team said in a statement . ‘ ‘ in addition, the general manager Steve Keim has decided to step away from his position in order to focus on his health. The team wishes them well and thanks both of them for their contribution.’’

Kingsbury has just signed an extension last offseason that put him under contract with the team through 2027 after leading the cardinals to the playoffs. after Arizona finished the 2022 season with a 4–14 record, the organization will be going in a different direction for the future.

Keim had served as the Cardinals GM for the past 10 seasons. keim initially took an indefinite , health-related leave of absence from the team on December 14th.
